Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between routine examination and vascular cognitive impairment (VCI). Methods From January to December 2015, 239 patients with ischemic stroke admitted to our hospital were collected. Patients were divided into normal group, vascular dementia group and vascular cognitive impairment without dementia group. The general information, comorbidity, laboratory tests, ultrasonography of carotid artery and neuropsychological results of patients were assessed and analyzed. Results ① There were significant differences in age and degree of education among the three groups (P<0.05). ② There were significant differences in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, low density lipoprotein, blood sugar, total cholesterol, albumin and aspartate aminotransferase among the three groups (P<0.05). ③ In the normal group, the MoCA and MMSE scores were higher in the neuropsychological assessment than those in the other two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions Routine examinations are relevant to VCI and can be used to assist in the diagnosis of early screening and VCI.
