Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics of hypertension and related risk factors in patients with IgA nephropathy. Methods The general data, clinical and pathological data of 675 IgA nephropathy patients were involved and retrospectively analyzed in this study. Risk factors of hypertension in IgA nephropathy patients were screened by single factor and multivariate methods. Results Incidence of hypertension in 675 patients with IgA nephropathy was 40.80%. Occurrence of hypertension were affected by nationalities, age, stage of chronic kidney disease and Oxford classification MEST score. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, family history of hypertension, serum creatinine, 24-hour urine protein, body mass index and renal vascular disease were the main risk factors for hypertension in IgA nephropathy patients. Conclusions Hypertension is a common complication of IgA nephropathy with various characteristics and risk factors.
