Abstract:Objective To study the effects of periplaneta americana extracts (Ento-A, Ento-B, Ento-C, Ento-D, Ento-E and Ento-F) on the proliferation of human embryonic skin fibroblasts (CCC-ESF-1) in vitro. Methods MTT assay was used to detect the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells in different concentrations and different action time of periplaneta Americana extracts. At the same time, the negative control group (containing equal amount of cell suspension) and the blank control group with only culture medium were set up. Results Compared with the negative control group, periplaneta americana extracts (Ento-A, Ento-B, Ento-C, Ento-D and Ento-E) had better inhibitory effect on the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells at low concentrations of 3 and 10?μg/ml. Periplaneta americana extract Ento-F had inhibitory effect on the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells at medium concentrations of 300?μg/ml. Ento-A had the best inhibitory effect on the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells at low concentration of 3?μg/ml at 24?h. Ento-B, Ento-C, Ento-D and Ento-E had the best inhibitory effect on the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells at low concentration of 3?μg/ml and 10?μg/ml at 72?h and 96?h. Ento-F had no inhibitory effect on the proliferation of CCC-ESF-1 cells and was obviously weaker than the other five species. Conclusions Periplaneta Americana extracts can inhibit the proliferation of human embryonic skin fibroblasts (CCC-ESF-1) in vitro.
