Abstract:Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of Clostridium butyricum joint quadruple therapy on Helicobacter pylori-positive gastric ulcer. Methods A total of 102 cases with H. pylori-positive gastric ulcer were selected. Adapting randomized double-blind method, they were divided into observation group and control group. In the first 2 weeks, the patients in the observation group were treated with a quadruple therapy (Esomeprazole + Bismuth Potassium Citrate + Amoxicillin + Levofloxacin) combined with Clostridium capsules; while those in the control group received the same quadruple therapy plus blank capsules. After 2 weeks, bismuth potassium citrate and antibiotics were stopped. The treatment efficiency, H. pylori eradication rate, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups 1 month after treatment. Results The effective percentage was 89.46% in the observation group and 76.00% in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The eradication rate of H. pylori was 82.69% in the observation group, while 46.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 11.54% in the observation group and 18.00% in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Conclusions Clostridium combined with quadruple therapy can increase the eradication rate of H. pylori in gastric ulcer.
