Abstract:Objective To understand the prevalence of malignancies in Changsha County, and to explore the risk factors for occurrence of malignant tumors. Methods Using cluster random sampling method, 40 patients diagnosed with malignant tumors in Changsha County were regarded as case group, and 430 normal people in the same area as control group. SPSS18.0 was used for single factor analysis, and then multivariate logistic regression model was used for screening of major risk factors. Results The prevalence of malignant tumors was 522/105. Univariate analysis showed that age, BMI, education level, family history of cancer, diet of fruits and vegetables, smoking, drinking and activity time had certain relevance to tumorigenesis. Multivariate analysis showed that age, BMI, family history of cancer, diet of fruits and vegetables, smoking and activity time were the risk factors of malignant tumors. Conclusions The incidences of malignant tumors are related to heredity, as well as diet and life style. Balanced diet and healthy life style can effectively prevent malignant tumors.
