Abstract:To investigate the effect of extracts from on proliferation, migration and VEGF protein expression of human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells. Methods Scratch assay was applied to measure the effect of extracts from on migration of HepG2 cells. Immunohistochemical staining and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to detect the effect of extracts from on the expression of VEGF protein in the cells. Results MTT assay and Scratch assay showed that polypeptides, CⅡ-3 and skimmed cream could inhibit the proliferation and migration of HepG2 cells in a time- and dose-dependent manner. Immunohistochemical staining and ELISA indicated that polypeptides, CⅡ-3 and skimmed cream could down regulate the expression of VEGF protein in the cells. Conclusions polypeptides, CⅡ-3and skimmed cream can inhibit the proliferation and migration of HepG2 cells in a timeand dose-dependent way, and reduce the expression of VEGF protein in the cells; and the effect of extracts is better than that of CⅡ-3 and skimmed cream.
