Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Anweiyang capsules in combination with Rabeprazole on peptic ulcer (PU) and serum levels of gastrin and motilin. Methods A total of 120 cases of PU meeting the inclusion critera were randomly divided into two groups with equal number. The patients of the control group were treated with Rabeprazole, Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin, while the patients of the treatment group were given Anweiyang capsules in combination with Rabeprazole, Amoxicillin and Clari-thromycin. Then, the curative efficacy, Hp eradication rate, serum levels of gastrin and motilin and adverse reactions were observed and compared between both groups. And recurrence rate was compared after 6-month follow-up. Results The treatment group had a therapeutic efficiency ratio of 96.7% and a Hp eradication rate of 96.7%, which was respectively higher than that of 85.0% and 86.7% in the control group (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group after the treatment, gastrin and motilin levels were statistically lower in the treatment group (P < 0.05). During the treatment, there was no case of severe adverse reaction, and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was not statistically different (P > 0.05). After follow-up for six months, the recurrence rate in the treatment group was 5.0%, which was statistically lower than 16.7% in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions Combined treatment of Anweiyang capsules with Rabeprazole is effective for PU, which has relatively high therapeutic efficiency and eradication rate of Hp. And it could significantly lower serum levels of gastrin and motilin, and reduce recurrence rate with few adverse reactions.
