Abstract:Objective To observe the disc annulus radiofrequency electrothermal arthroplasty for treatment of chronic discogeenic lumbago and its complications, so as to seek a new method for the treatment of disc source lumbago. Methods Sixty patients who met the diagnostic criteria of chronic discogeenic lumbago were chosen. Intervertebral disc fiber loop radiofrequency electrothermal arthroplasty was performed. The patients were followed up after operation. Oswestry function index, the VAS pain score and the change of surgical complications were compared before and after operation. Results After treatment with disc annular radiofrequency electrothermal arthroplasty, patients' VAS score significantly lowered and pain was alleviated, the functional status was markedly improved, the quality of life was improved, the Oswestry function index rate was above 75%, and no serious complications occurred. Conclusions Disc annular radiofrequency electrothermal arthroplasty can help the remodeling of the damage disc, quickly relieve patients' pain, significantly improve the function of patients condition with few complications. It is a safe and effective treatment for discogeenic lumbago.
