Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of high-frequency ultrasonic, elastography and ultrasound contrast in diagnosis of thyroid solid nodules. Methods Among the 238 thyroid solid nodules of 198 patients, 156 thyroid solid nodules were diagnosed as malignant nodules by combined high-frequency ultrasonic and elasto-graphy (group A), and 82 by combined high-frequency ultrasonic, elastography and ultrasound contrast (group B). All the patients received surgery and pathological examinations. Results Pathology confirmed 98 thyroid solid nodules were malignant in the group A, 68 thyroid solid nodules were malignant in the group B. Two groups showed significant difference (P < 005). Conclusions The high-frequency ultrasonic and elastography images of the thyroid nodules are important in differentiating benign nodules from malignant ones. In combination with ultrasound contrast, the diagnosis accuracy of thyroid solid nodules can be further improved.
