Abstract:Objective To explore the related factors of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Methods Totally 183 patients with CAP from June 2013 to July 2015 were enrolled into observation group. And 150 patients without CAP in the same period were into control group. Gender, age, body mass index (BMI), history of smoking, drinking, pet-raising, dust exposure, basic diseases, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and blood albumin level were compared between the two groups. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate the related factors of CAP. Results There were significant diffe-rences in BMI, history of smoking, pet-raising, dust exposure, respiratory diseases, diabetes, kidney diseases and blood albumin level between the two groups (P < 0.05). Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that history of pet-raising and diabetes were the independent risk factors for CAP, and blood albumin ≥ 35 g/L was the independent protective factor (P < 0.05). Conclusions History of pet-raising, diabetes and low blood albumin level are the high risk factors for CAP. Therefore, corresponding preventive measures should be given to reduce the occurrence of CAP.
