Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of electromyographic biofeedback combined with hyperbaric oxygen intervention on motor function and daily life abilities in children with cerebral palsy.Methods A total of 108 children with cerebral palsy who sought outpatient treatment at Jiangnan University Affiliated Hospital and the First People's Hospital of Changzhou from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected. Based on the treatment methods, they were divided into a conventional group and an experimental group, each comprising 54 cases. The conventional group received routine rehabilitation treatment, while the experimental group received electromyographic biofeedback combined with hyperbaric oxygen intervention in addition to routine treatment. The efficacy, motor function (Gross Motor Function Measure [GMFM], Fine Motor Function Measure [FMFM]), electroencephalogram power (θ-wave value, β-wave value, θ/β ratio), and daily life abilities were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the conventional group (P < 0.05). The GMFM score, FMFM score difference, θ-wave value difference, β-wave value difference, θ/β ratio difference, and daily life ability difference were all higher in the experimental group compared to the conventional group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Electromyographic biofeedback combined with hyperbaric oxygen intervention has a significant therapeutic effect on children with cerebral palsy. It can improve motor function and electroencephalogram power while enhancing daily life abilities.
